Plumber, Fitter, and Welder Section:
Plumbers, pipe and steam fitters, welders and HVACR technicians install and repair pipes that carry liquids or gasses to, from and within businesses, homes and factories.

Plumbers, fitters, welders and HVACR service technicians work in factories, homes, businesses and other places where there are pipes or septic systems. Plumbers, fitters, welders and technicians are often on call for emergencies, so evening and weekend work is common. 

Plumbers, fitters, welders and HVACR technicians  learn their trade through a registered apprenticeship program that is usually cost free to the student.

The minimum age to become a plumbers, fitters, welders or HVACR service technicians is 18-years-old. Typically, a high-school diploma or equivalent is required to begin your apprenticeship and career in the trade. Most states and localities require plumbers, fitters and technicians to be licensed.

Plumbers/Fitters/Welders can earn up to

$50.00/Hour

After the apprenticeship and based on certifications, a journeyperson plumber, fitter, welder or HVACR technician (a qualified and skilled person in a trade), can earn anywhere from $30.00 to $50.00 an hour.
